Y'all, let's be clear about something up front: this isn't a bachelorette-with-sashes, up-till-4am kind of girls' weekend – so leave your veil at home. This is the "we've earned a slow morning and a good glass of wine" kind — and honestly, I think that's a better trip anyway.
Start your morning exactly the way you want to: poolside, coffee in hand, absolutely no schedule. We’re becoming quite famous for our espressos and iced flavored coffees. When you're ready to actually eat something, head to Parcell's Perk in Benton for a late breakfast — order a matcha latte or whatever sounds good, sit outside, and take your time. Nobody's rushing you.
Once you're fed and caffeinated, this is where the day gets fun. If shopping is your love language, swing by Ashleigh's Boutique or the Pink Tractor, both tucked into Patti's 1880's Settlement in Grand Rivers — two completely different vibes, both worth the browse. If you're the antiquing type, Cadiz is an easy drive and a great way to spend an afternoon hunting for something nobody else will have. And if you'd rather just disappear for a while, get lost at Birdie's Books and Beans on the square in Benton — it's a sweet little independent bookstore with a coffee shop built right in, exactly the kind of place you go into for "just a minute" and leave an hour later with three books you didn't know you needed. Plus a canvas bag, three stickers, a candle and some bookmarks. But who’s counting?
By evening, it's decision time, and it really depends on your group's mood. Feeling classic? Grab a Cosmo at Popi's. Want something a little more relaxed? Head to Poca Terra Winery for a tasting — it's small, it's intimate, and the family who runs it clearly loves what they do. Or if beer's more your speed, Dam Brewhaus has over twenty taps and a laid-back atmosphere that's easy to settle into for a while.
And if a quiet night in sounds better than any of that, grab a pizza from Mama D's in Calvert City and bring it back to the Inn — their Supreme pizza is always a good call, and there's nothing wrong with eating it straight from the box out by the pool.
When you're ready for a livelier night, that's where Marshall Yards comes in. They've got live music some nights, and best of all, we'll take you there in our shuttle, so nobody has to be the designated driver and everybody gets to actually enjoy the night.
Come back to the Inn whenever you're ready, kick off your shoes, and let the pool be waiting for you again in the morning.
