I have a confession to make.
I don't drink coffee. You already know this. Diet Mountain Dew is my love language and I am not ashamed. But I have discovered that I will absolutely walk into a coffee shop — happily — if they have cinnamon rolls on the menu.
Enter Iron Bell Coffee Parlor in Grand Rivers, Kentucky.

First, let's talk about the building, because it deserves its own moment. Iron Bell gives a nod to Grand Rivers' roots in the iron ore mining days of the 1800s — and the building itself has a belfry tower, which is where the name comes from. Walking in feels like stepping somewhere that was meant to be a coffee parlor. It's that kind of place.
Now. The Pink Fizz. I don't know exactly what's in it and honestly I don't care because it is delicious and I will be back for it. If you are also a non-coffee person — or even if you ARE a coffee person — get the Pink Fizz. It's topped with citrus cold foam. Sit outside in a rocker on the porch and enjoy it. You're welcome.
And here's the thing that really sealed the deal for me: they do homemade breakfast items. Real, from-scratch, made-with-love breakfast. Actual pastries and breakfast casseroles and yogurt parfaits in real glassware that you want to sit down and enjoy.
Now let me tell you where this little gem is located — because the location alone is worth talking about. Iron Bell is right in the heart of Grand Rivers, which means it's a stone's throw from Patti's 1880's Settlement and just around the corner from Lighthouse Landing. So if you're planning a day on the water or a dinner at Patti's, you now have the perfect place to start your morning.
Come stay with us at the Lakehouse Inn and make Iron Bell your first stop of the day.
