People love their coffee.
I don't get it. I never acquired a taste for it, and grabbing a can of Diet Moutain Dew is so much more convenient. But that's for another day.
Sweet thing is a coffee snob. Our Chloe is a coffee snob. Even my super practical daughter Molly has developed a taste for the mocha-type-coffee-thing. The point is - even though you're at the lake, you still want to have your morning latte if that's your thing. Great news! I've got three options for you.
The Lobby
Yes, we have coffee. We open at 6 am during the week and 7 am on the weekends, and it's available all day. We've got your traditional Bunn coffee maker with the glass pot for the purists. (We currently use Starbucks in the Bunn, but I'll always take suggestions.) Some people don't want the standard coffee, so for them, we have a Keurig with a twirly stand full of every flavor of pod imaginable. Even hot chocolate.
We also have a new espresso machine. Took us two hours and a half-gallon of milk to learn how to make a latte, but I think we're good. (We have a fifteen-minute video of the training if you're bored.) I even frothed some milk if that's really a thing. And - drum roll, please - we have a cool assortment of Torani thick and thin flavorings so we can customize your cup! If I drank coffee, I would like chocolate and caramel. But I don't.
We have one size - 12 ounces. Drink in or to go. Ours is complimentary for guests. We also have Ahmad tea or apple cider if that's more your thing.
Parcell's Perk
Parcell's has everything, but for the purpose of this blog, let's talk about how cute their little coffee shop is! And they have tables outside so you can sit and visit and drink your coffee and have a bagel. They don't stop at coffee though - order a lemonade and add boba, or try a smoothie. Need a matcha latte? This is your place. There's even sugar-free and decaf for you health nuts out there. Parcell's Perk is in Draffenville, which isn't really a town because it doesn't have a zip code, so their "address" says Benton.
Dub House
If I did drink coffee, I'd always be running too late to make it, so a drive through would be a slam dunk for me. Dub House has you covered on that. The OG is across from Popi's Restaurant - also in Draffenville, see above - and their second location is literally in the parking lot of the Benton Wal-Mart. Convenient, right? They've got coffee - but they also have teas and espresso protein shakes and crumb cakes. Yum. If you order online, make sure you select the correct location!
