There are a few things in life I have too many of. Shoes, of course. And baskets. And tote bags, for some strange reason. And, of course, candles. But I always rationalize my candle purchases by saying to myself, "I'll use these up so it's not like I'm accumulating stuff." Yeah, right.
The only thing better than picking out a new candle for the season is creating your own - and if you're looking for fun things to do while at the Inn, you can take a short drive to Paducah for a visit to The Pour Room. (Set some boundaries before you go - you don't really need ten new candles.)
Terra Bass has created a funky little spot that's a scent lover's dream. You walk in, she gives you some directions, and you start sniffing. Narrow down your faves - have a glass of wine if you like - and she'll walk you through what to do next. Pick your vessel - there are tons to choose from. Not a candle fan? You can create a room spray or a diffuser oil, instead.
This is one of my favorite outings - the LHI gals and myself were there just a few weeks ago. Here's photo proof.
If you decide to visit, tell her Cindi the innkeeper sent you. If you don't have time to go this time - we have some of her candles in the lobby that you can purchase!
