The Bel Air Motel was originally constructed in the late 1950's. When the most recent owners, the English family, decided to sell - it was an opportunity that the Cook family decided not to pass up. For years, the Bel Air has hosted families, fishermen and reunions - and that's still the business plan. We're just doing it as The Lakehouse Inn at Sledd Creek - with a complete renovation of the lobby, and the lodging accommodations including the cabins and all 18 rooms.
If you're looking to recreate memories of summer camps and family road trips - this nostalgic inn is for you. Our outdoor space is unlike any other at Kentucky Lake - with cozy fire pits, family games and two resort pools with a lounge area, in-pool seating, fountains and more. We're a stone's throw away from so many of the Lake's most popular places to eat, shop, play - and launch a boat, of course!

Nostalgic Location
Our property has been a Kentucky Lake landmark since the 1960s. A complete renovation in 2023 updated the much-loved Inn while maintaining the coziness that kept families and fishermen returning year after year. Starbucks Coffees and Ahmad Teas are available during lobby hours, along with complimentary water and snacks. Enjoy our breakfast area every morning, included with your stay. Our Wi-Fi is spectacular if you're working from the room.

No matter why you're visiting Kentucky Lake, you'll find everything you need at The Lakehouse Inn at Sledd Creek. Outdoor activities, boat parking, picnic pavilions with grills, shuttle service, EV charging stations, event area, vending and guest laundry access are all available at the Inn. We've got cute merch if you need a souvenir from your trip. Forgot a book? Take one from the shelf in the lobby. Are the kids restless? Come borrow some games, and school them in Yahtzee. Don't forget to have breakfast with us, and tell us all about yourself!

There are so many fun things to do at Kentucky Lake, and we are right in the middle of it all! Go-karts, miniature golf, concerts at the Opry, Venture River, Patti's, and Land Between the Lakes are all so close. Arts & craft shows and music festivals are plentiful during peak season, too.
Our Story
We're not as famous as Johnny & Moira Rose of Schitt's Creek, but we're working on it! If you're wondering how in the world we ended up with the old Bel Air Motel, you're not alone. My mom asks me at least once a week.
