Fired Up for the Tobacco Harvest (Room 204)

“In Western Kentucky, tobacco has always been a part of farming operations. In the fall, when tobacco is being cured, you may drive by barns that appear to be ‘smoking’. Don’t call the fire department just yet – that’s just part of the process! Another method used by growers is the ‘air curing’ method which allows for circulation around the plant as it dries.”
